Sheffield City Council have today made the decision to go ahead with plans to bring a 'clean air zone' into the city.
It'll cover the inner ring road and city centre.
The changes are set to be introduced in late 2022.
Sheffield has been in breach of the legal limits for Nitrogen Dioxide (NOâ‚‚) levels since January 2010, according to the City Council.
It's hoped the move will save around 500 lives a year in the city.
Buses, taxis, vans and lorries that do not meet Sheffield City Council's emissions standards will have to pay to drive in and around the zone.
