Father jailed for four years after dog kills son
Steven Joynes was charged with owning a dog which was dangerously out of control.
A father whose newborn son was killed by the family pet has been jailed for four years.
Elon Ellis-Joynes was 12 days old when he was attacked by a Chow-Chow-cross in Doncaster in September 2020.
Steven Joynes of Welfare Road had pleaded guilty last December to being the owner of a dog which caused death when dangerously out of control.
Joynes has also been banned from owning for a dog for the next 15 years.
No further action has been taken against his partner in relation to the case.
