The MP for Sheffield Hallam insists there's 'greater awareness' around baby loss & miscarriages now - compared to a few years ago.

Olivia Blake's been campaigning around the issue since she experienced a miscarriage during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier this year - the government recognised that miscarriage care needs to be better in the UK - which Olivia believes is a 'big step' in the right direction:

"The old three miscarriage rule leaves a lot of people in limbo, as they won't know why they're experiencing miscarriage, so having to go through three miscarriages seems really cruel.

"I'm really pleased that the government have now said that they don't support this approach.

"There's a sense that there's a taboo subject, and one that we need to keep to ourselves, which is the worst possible thing that can happen.

"If you've gone through a miscarriage, my advice would be to talk about it.

"There are plenty of really good support groups out there."

Previously - women had to experience 3 miscarriages in a row before they could access support & tests to find out the cause of the loss.

In recent months, Olivia Blake's been campaigning with Myleene Klass in a bid to raise further awareness around the matter.
