We have been finding out how families on the Yorkshire Coast feel about being on Easter holidays weeks after returning to school.

Children went back to classrooms on the 8th of March.

SJ Barker runs Scarborough and Whitby Mumbler and said:

"It was great when they went back to school because they were excited to go back to school. I suppose one of the biggest shocks to the system was the school run and the restrictions of the school run. Once you got out of the routine, having to be somewhere at 9am and 3pm came as a bit of a shock to be honest.

"We sort of just got going and just got into a routine when it was sort of the time to have holidays again. One little advantage was though the sort of excitement and everything of going back to school did make them very tired so actually, the fact they got a little rest is probably a good thing.

"I just hope that when we get back to school that it's completely uninterrupted and there's no burst bubbles. I do slightly live in fear of a burst bubble. We had a lot of burst bubbles in November and we spent more time with one child self-isolating than the other and I just hope that's not what we're going to return to."

Her son, Henry Barker, 8, said:

"It feels really good to be back at school and seeing all my friends, being able to chat and have fun.

"I'm happy to be at home with family but I also miss my friends a lot after it was quite a short period of time that we were at school."
