Boggle Hole youth hostel looking for more people to join their crew
The managers there are looking for people who can spare some time to help them
A youth hostel near Robin Hood's Bay is looking for more people to join their 'crew'.
YHA Boggle Hole in Fylingthorpe has an aim to make it as welcoming and an experience as possible for visitors.
Peta and Andy Nugent, who are the managers, have been there for 30 years and they are looking for volunteers or those who want a paid job.
Peta said: "We're looking for reception work, we've got housekeeping, children's activity entertainers that we're looking for. If you're good at doing 'arrrr' as a pirate then you need to come here. It's a good job. Come and join us. It's a beautiful location and we'll look after you.
Andy said: "You don't necessarily need experience. The key thing for us is personality, a nice smile and working with the team. We can show you everything else. There's a huge amount of training we put you through as well."
Andy explains what the highlight of his job is: "Working with the team here. Honestly after your days off, you come back here, you meet everybody again, chat about what you've been doing over the weekend and what's been going on. The atmosphere here is lovely and it's reflected on the customers as well. They kind of get the love of Boggle and we all get on with each other."
For Peta, she said: "The variety of guests that we deal with. We deal with a tremendous amount of schools that have never been to the beach before and just seeing the joy and pleasure from that. How can you not want to come and work somewhere where you get 50 children who are seeing the sea and the beach for the first time?"
Andy and Peta added: "We are on the beach. It's literally 100 yards away and you're on the sand and how awesome is that? We've been here 30 years. We've got boggles. There's a little creature that lives in the cave on the beach around the corner and he's called a boggle, that's where he gets his name from. He'll come out and meet you every day."
