Woman injured in crash between car and mobility scooter in Scarborough

A woman in her 70s suffered multiple fractures

A woman has been injured after a collision between a mobility scooter and a car in Scarborough.

It happened on Friday the 3rd of December at around 2.40pm.

A woman in her 70s, who was riding the mobility scooter, suffered multiple fractures as a blue Jaguar car collided with her as she crossed Victoria Road.

She was taken to hospital with serious back injuries and has since been discharged.

Police launched an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses who have yet to come forward, or anyone who saw the car prior to the collision.

The woman who was driving the Jaguar is assisting with enquiries and at this point no arrests have been made.
