Woman injured after dog attack in Scarborough

A woman has been left with injuries to her leg after she was attacked by a dog while walking in Scarborough.

Police believe it happened near to the beach at the Holbeck Hill area at around 09:20am on Monday 17 October.

The dog, believed to be an English Bull Terrier, approached the woman as she was walking her own dogs with her friend, before biting her, and dragging her to the ground.

North Yorkshire Police are now appealing for information an want to speak to a man seen to be walking the Terrier.

He's thought to be between 40-50 years old, with bald or very short hair and a slim build.

The Bull Terrier is described to have a tan stripe on its back and a white neck.
