Woman brought to safety from bridge in Scarborough

Emergency services were called just before 4pm today

A woman who was in distress on a bridge in Scarborough has been down safely.

North Yorkshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were called just before 4pm today (Wednesday 8th September) to Filey Road.

Road closures were in place whilst officers spoke to the woman. She was brought down safely at around 4.40pm and police say she will receive the support she needs.
