Witnesses sought after man assaulted at Whitby Abbey

Police are appealing for footage after an assault at Whitby Abbey.

This occurred on Wednesday 23rd April adjacent to Abbey Lane and the Whitby Brewery.

A member of the public was assaulted after he had seen a man and woman attempting to access the site without paying by climbing over the low stone wall to the south of the site. .

A 19-year-old man from Leeds was arrested and later released under investigation.
