Whitby seal reportedly kicked in attack

A seal in Whitby has reportedly been attacked by a member of the public.

The British Divers Marine Life Rescue says one of its medics in the town attended a call-out yesterday (Monday 1st March) to reports of a man kicking a seal and setting his dogs on it near to the pier.

The charity says its medic checked the animal over and relocated it to a quieter location.
