Back in November 2018, a man went into a retail business in Scarborough and stole money from the till threatening staff with a large knife.

We told you recently how PC Laura Kelly spotted him inside a busy restaurant and restrained him, after he took out the knife and aimed it towards families who were eating.

Laura said:

"I think there probably was an element of training that kicked in but ultimately, I think fear is what I felt and even just thinking about it, when it takes you back, you just think 'oh my God'.

"But ultimately, you're still just a human and my concern was 'what is this guy going to do to these people and to me?' and that was my main worry.

"I feel really proud and really thankful for the recognition and positive feedback that I've had and support. It's been really lovely, it really has.

"It was definitely a team job that ended up in luckily people being saved."
