Man taken to hospital after a fight in Whitby

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information

A man has been taken to hospital after a fight broke out in Whitby.

It happened at around 5pm on Monday 15th August on Windsor Terrace involving two men having a fight in the street.

One man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and the other was arrested by officers before being released on bail.

Police are requesting the public’s help to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident. In particular they are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident as the town centre was particularly busy around this time with the Whitby Regatta on-going.
