Yellow weather warning for snow and ice on Yorkshire Coast

The cold snap will mainly affect the south east of England, but could bring some snow flurries to our part of the country

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice affecting the Yorkshire Coast.

It's in force from now right through until midday on Wednesday.

Storm Darcy is hitting the UK, bringing strong easterly winds from Ukraine and the Black Sea area.

The worst of the cold snap is expected to affect the east and south-east of England, where a higher 'amber' warning is in place.

But here on the Yorkshire Coast, we could still be in for some snow flurries and showers.

Forecasters are only expecting a 'small chance' of travel delays and power cuts in our part of the country.
