People in Scarborough are being invited to come together with Ukrainians living in the town to watch Eurovision.

Many refugees have been part of the community for more than a year as they have escaped the war with Russia.

Inna Moroz is one of them in Scarborough and said: "Because of the war in Ukraine, we're not able to host it. Liverpool is a very nice city and England is our friend. They've stayed with us. It's a great show and installation. We've been welcomed as Ukrainians.

"We're happy and in our situation it's like sunshine for us now. Thank you for the Government and thank you to all the British people. We're happy.

"The Ukrainian song is emotional and it's native to us. It's something that I believe inside. It's so nice to see the organisation and preparation of Eurovision in terms of the show, lighting and voices. It's unbelievable.

"We just cry when we see all of this. We just feel a connection to Ukraine everywhere and the support for Ukraine. We're so happy. England are our friends forever."
