Two people have allegedly been assaulted in Scarborough.

Two people have allegedly been assaulted in Scarborough.

It happened just after midnight on Saturday 12th September when a male and female were walking along Castle Road.

Police say as they approached the junction with Sussex Street, another male approached them from behind and engaged them in an argument during which it has been alleged he assaulted them both.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, it is believed that two members of the public may have witnessed this incident.
