Tree falls on Railway in Yorkshire

Train Services disrupted between Skipton and Lancaster due to fallen Tree

Author: Rosa BownPublished 30th May 2025

Rail services between Skipton and Lancaster/Morecambe have been suspended in both directions due to a tree blocking the railway between Wennington and Carnforth.

As a result, services from Leeds to Lancaster/Morecambe will terminate at Skipton, while those travelling in the opposite direction will start from Skipton.

Northern has confirmed that alternative road transport is in place. A coach, operated by Travellers Choice, is scheduled to depart Lancaster at 07:45 and will serve all stations en route to Skipton.

Passengers are advised to check for the latest travel updates before setting off.
