A yellow weather warning has been issued for today (18th February), for strong winds.

The Met Office issued a weather warning for wind across the Yorkshire Coast on Wednesday as Storm Dudley hit the UK with up to 90mph gusts.

How will Storm Eunice affect the Yorkshire Coast?

The Met Office's next warning for the area comes into force at 7am today and will last until 6pm.

The amber warning for wind covers the majority of England.

There's also a chance of travel delays on roads and rail services, and it's being recommended people try and avoid travel.

The A171 Guisborough Road both ways is closed due to snow between Margrove Road (Charltons) and A169 (Briggswath).
