Police investigate road collision in Snainton

North Yorkshire Police is searching for anyone who witnessed a road collision in Snainton, near Scarborough.

It happened at 1.50pm yesterday (Thursday 15 July), involving a black Kawasaki motorbike and a bronze coloured Kia hatchback.

Officers say the motorcyclist took "evasive action", which resulted in a fractured hip socket, wrist and rib.

In a statement, North Yorkshire Police added: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"We are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle(s) prior to the collision, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.

"In particular, we are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, particularly any motorists who may have dashcam footage of the collision.
