Outside Scarborough train station, this man said: "I'm disgusted about this because I have to get to Glasgow to return home to the United States. I was going to spend a couple of extra days in Whitby and I can't do that. I've had to get a round about bus for tomorrow instead of Thursday so I'm not happy about this. My plan is to get the bus to York and then tomorrow morning I've secured a ticket to Glasgow."
One man said: "It's very inconvenient and we hope it's settled very soon and that we come to some sort of amicable agreement really. It'll affect us tomorrow possibly but we've got the bus and car option but the the train would have been more convenient."
This woman added: "I just think a worker deserves a decent wage and if that's what they've got to do to get the wage that they need, if someone works a job then they deserve to be paid."
This man said: "It affects me because I take the train regularly. It'll affect me and my wife."
