Two men have appeared in court charged with robbery and committing actual bodily harm in Scarborough.

Police say the 'violent incident' happened outside an address on Albermarle Crescent at around 5.30pm on Monday 4th July.

Officers were alerted and found the victim, a Scarborough man in his late 30s, who had been attacked and said his phone, money and earring had been taken.

The two men were arrested at a nearby address and a 38-year-old woman was also later arrested in connection with the investigation. She has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

Barry McGrath, 44, from Scarborough but of no fixed address, and Robert Mark Power, aged 41, from Albemarle Crescent, did not enter pleas in court on Wednesday (6th July).

They were remanded into custody until they are back in court in August.
