New Year fireworks display in Scarborough tonight
Scarborough's night sky will be lit up during the first few minutes of 2022
There is going to be a fireworks display to celebrate the arrival of the New Year in Scarborough tonight.
Scarborough Borough Council says the ten-minute fireworks display will start at the stroke of midnight from behind Scarborough Spa to add 'an extra special touch to residents’ festivities and, in support of the local visitor economy, those visiting the area to celebrate the New Year with family and friends.'
The fireworks will be best viewed from Esplanade on South Cliff.
In light of the response to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, spectators are being asked to adopt sensible social distancing.
