Scarborough's Coronavirus rate continues to rise
The borough's seven-day infection rate is now the highest it's been since April.
Coronavirus rates in Scarborough are continuing to rise, after the borough hit its highest rate since April.
More new cases are being recorded across North Yorkshire every day, as the average rate for Scarborough has increased from 22 per 100,000 people yesterday, to 25 today.
It equals the borough’s highest rate since April 4.
Selby has the highest rate in North Yorkshire at 144, ahead of Craven on 116.
North Yorkshire as a whole has an average rate of 76, up five on yesterday while the rate for England as whole is 97.
Meanwhile, figures from Public Health England show that 68% of Scarborough’s population has now had two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, almost 65,000 residents.
More than 83% of residents have had at least one jab.
Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
