Scarborough’s coronavirus rate is now the lowest in North Yorkshire, as the county’s six other districts continue to see their cases go up.

The borough’s seven day rate per 100,000 is at 13, down one on yesterday, the joint lowest in the county with Ryedale.

All the other districts have seen their rates rise in the last 24 hours, as the average rate in the county goes from 32 to 35. The average for England stands at 60.

Selby, once again, has the highest rate in the county as its level has now hit 73, a rise of six in the last 24 hours.

Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this weekend, for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
