Scarborough borough’s Covid-19 infection rate has fallen once more after a slight rise earlier in the week.

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people now stands at 115, down from 117 yesterday.

The average rate for England is 327 while in North Yorkshire it is 182, with both continuing to fall over the last seven days.

Scarborough is averaging 18 new cases every day though the infection has now reached its lowest level since last October as the third lockdown continues to have an impact.

Mobile testing sites in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey in the coming days for anyone with symptoms to get tested.

William Street Coach Park in Scarborough is still offering testing seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
