Scarborough borough’s Covid-19 infection rate continues to fall as the death toll in the UK since the start of the pandemic passes 100,000.

The borough’s seven day infection rate per 100,000 people now stands at 113, down from 123 yesterday and 132 on Monday.
The average rate for England is 369 while in North Yorkshire it is 207, with both continuing to trend downwards.
Yesterday, the death toll for the UK during the coronavirus pandemic passed 100,000.
During a televised press conference last night, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he took "full responsibility" for the government's action saying that it had done "everything we could."
He added:
"I'm deeply sorry for every life lost.”
Mobile testing sites will be once again Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
