Scarborough Athletic face their biggest game in their 15-year history
The Football Club host Warrington in the play-off final of the Northern Premier League
Scarborough Athletic face Warrington this afternoon in the Northern Premier League play-off final.
Fans are being asked to only turn up at the Flamingo Land Stadium if they already have a ticket and to arrive early.
It is the Football Club's biggest game in their 15-year history as just 90 minutes and Warrington stand between them and promotion to the National League.
Chairman Trevor Bull said: "We can't guarantee it because it's football but we know that Warrington will be a really tough game. We've beaten them twice already this season but when it's a one-off game that sort of thing goes out the window, it's who performs better on the day.
"A lot of them told me that they have never played in front of a crowd that loud. If we can replicate that against Warrington it really inspires them to do well. They'll lift their game beacuse they're in a cup final but if the crowd get behind them and make that sort of noise that they can, it lifts them even further.
"We started as a Football Club that wasn't much more than a pub team and in fact our first training session, we didn't even have any footballs. So within 15 years, we've gone from that to only being 90 minutes away from being a National League club and that's an incredible rise from where we started."
