A suicide prevention charity in Scarborough says it's looking for funding.

Samaritans of Scarborough says its main source of funding is currently cut off because the shop on Hanover Road is shut due to coronavirus.

Director Libby Gilbert said:

"We have to raise ÂŁ35,000 a year to keep our branch open. The main cost of that is the running costs of the building but we also need money to train new volunteers."

Libby says there's more than one way of donating:

"If someone's got a fundraising idea that they want to carry out and they want to do it on behalf of the Samaritans, that's another great idea. It's difficult for us at the moment to do any sort of public fundraising due to the situation."
