The visitor centre at RSPB Bempton Cliffs is closed due to damage caused by Storm Arwen.

The team there say they need to assess the damage caused by wind.

Meanwhile North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are urging people in Scarborough to stay indoors if possible, due to incidents of tiles blowing off of buildings.

In a statement the service said:

"We are attending multiple incidents in Scarborough where tiles are blowing from roofs. If possible please remain indoors until the wind reduces as falling debris is extremely dangerous at this time".

Scarborough RUFC have had their game with Ilkley called off due to the bad weather.

Whitby Town's FA Trophy match with Nantwich has also been called off.
