The number of people being discriminated against from the Gypsy, Roma and traveling community in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire is on the rise.

Around 74% of Gypsies and Travellers were settled in houses back in 2011 according to figures, but they are still being discriminated against.

Sgt Nicholas Bunker says officers are coming across more hate crime.

|He said:

"You may be living next to somebody from the GRT community and you may not even know that you're living next to them. 91% of them have experienced some form of discrimination.

"We often don't get told about the 91% of people that are being targeted and if we're not being told about them, there's nothing that we can do."
