Passengers on the Yorkshire coast are set to be affected, as thousands of rail workers across the country plan to strike.

They intend to walk out for three days in June, in what would be the biggest strike since 1989.

Staff from Network Rail, TransPennine Express and Northern are due to take industrial action on the 21st, 23rd and 25th.

The last of those days is when Scarborough hosts the Armed Forces Day National Event.

The RMT Union insists it's still in talks with industry bosses.
