Fatal road collision in Bridlington

Police are investigating, after the incident in the early hours of yesterday.

Police are appealing for information, after a fatal road traffic collision yesterday (Sunday 31 October) on B1255 Marton Road, Bridlington.

Officers were called at 1:10am to reports that a white Citroën Berlingo van had left the road and collided with a tree on a nearby embankment.

It is believed that the van was travelling in the direction of Flamborough.

The driver died at the scene from his injuries.

The man’s family are now being support by specialist trained officers.

Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity with dash cam footage, or who was travelling along the B1255 Marton Road at the time of the collision, or moments prior, and saw the collision to call the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 82 of 31 October.
