Appeal after public order incident near Scarborough

It happened in East Ayton on Sunday afternoon.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information in relation to a public order incident that occurred in East Ayton, Scarborough.

The incident occurred inside the SPAR on Main Street, between 3:40pm and 4pm on Sunday 16 January 2022.

A man and woman had a heated verbal exchange.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, officers are appealing for information as to exactly what has been said by each party.
