Holidaymaker left with cuts to his face after attack in Whitby
It's believed to have happened outside a restaurant near to the roundabout at Station Square on Saturday night
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was apparently assaulted in an unprovoked attack in Whitby on Saturday night (24 September).
He was hit with a glass bottle and was left with a deep cut on his cheek, and was taken to James Cook hospital.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident, or anyone who has dashcam or mobile phone footage.
North Yorkshire Police said they would "particularly" like to speak to a man who was seen in the are wearing a dark grey and black hooded raincoat.
