40 per cent vaccinated in Scarborough
Figures also show the borough's seven day infection rate has fallen further.
More than 42,000 people have now received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine in Scarborough, new figures have revealed.
The NHS has released figures showing that in the period up to February 28, 42,867 people in the borough were vaccinated.
That is up from 38,416 a week earlier
The data include vaccinations administered in hospital hubs, local vaccination service sites such as GP practices and at vaccination centres.
The news comes as Scarborough’s infection rate has fallen into the low 30s.
The seven day infection rate, per 100,000 people in the borough, now stands at 31, a drop of 16 on the same time last week.
The borough is now averaging five new cases every day.
The average infection rate in England is now 50 per 100,000 while in North Yorkshire as a whole it is 41.
Mobile testing facilities will be available in Whitby, Scarborough and Filey this week, for anyone with symptoms to get tested.
