Amber weather warning for snow and ice in parts of North Yorkshire
The cold snap continues as drivers faced difficulty last night

North Yorkshire is bracing for more snow, as an amber weather warning covers parts of the county.
The Met Office is warning of significant disruption in the north and east of the region.
Around 70 gritters have been out trying to keep the roads safe.
Karl Battersby, who is charge of is in charge of roads at North Yorkshire Council, said: "We grit about 52% of our network, which is more than many other counties.
"It's unrealistic to imagine we can grit every road, so we grit the network to try and keep the county moving."
Meanwhile, Swaledale Mountain Rescue were called out last night to help a driver stuck on ice and snow on the North York Moors.
The motorist, who had been unable to get out of their stranded vehicle, was taken to safety.
