No 'malicious act' after horse found dead in Bridlington

Humberside Police say they have been called to reports of a dead horse in Bridlington.

It happened this morning and the force says its community officers attended an enclosed paddock within the playing fields off the A165 Bessingby Hill.

Humberside Police said:

"A joint investigation has been conducted with RSPCA officers at the scene.

"At this time it is believed the horse has sadly passed away due to natural causes and nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or malicious act.

"Please can we reassure the community that we work closely with RSPCA around animal welfare."
