Whitby Town have announced that Lee Bullock and Nathan Haslam will take charge of the club as joint managers.

It's after Chris Hardy stepped down from his role as manager a few days ago, after almost five years in the job.

Bullock is well known for being the Seasiders' Assistant Manager during Chris Hardy's time in charge of the club between 2015 and 2020.

More recently, Bullock has taken on the role of General Manager at the Towbar Express Stadium.

Haslam joined the club this summer as head coach, and having had previous managerial experience at Whitley Bay prior to his move to Whitby, the Board have concluded that himself and Bullock deserve the chance to take the club forwards.

Despite the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division being a new level for Haslam to adapt to, he feels that his short time working under Chris Hardy will put him in good stead.

"I've learnt things from Chris in the short time I've been here. Our game at Warrington will be hard, but players are playing for their places. We've got to move sharpish."

Haslam's companion at the helm of Whitby Town is relishing the chance to take on the challenge, and he hopes to help the side progress as the season goes on.

"First of all I would like to thank Chardy for his hard work during his time here," said Bullock.

"From my point of view I'm looking forward to working together with Nathan and we want to take the club forwards.

"We both want to continue working on what Chardy has built in his time here."
