New images issued in search for missing Stockton man

Police have released new CCTV images, as the search continues for missing Alex Weatherley, 35, from Stockton-on-Tees.

Officers say the last confirmed sighting of Alex was at York train station last Thursday (7 August), when he boarded an LNER service to Inverness at 2.13pm.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish where along the route he got off.

The train travelled through Darlington, Newcastle, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Stirling and a number of other towns before arriving in Inverness.

Alex is described as white, of slim build, around 6ft 3ins tall, with brown hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark padded jacket, a black hoodie and dark trousers.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts, particularly anyone who saw him on the train or along its route, is urged to contact police.
