Police called to man with a knife at Scarborough shop
It happened yesterday at the One Stop on Newborough
There have been reports of a man with a knife at a shop in Scarborough.
Police say it happened yesterday (Thursday 7th October) at around 5.30pm at the One Stop on Newborough. He told staff to call police and waited whilst they arrived. No-one was harmed.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
“This appears to have been a cry for help. The man in his 20’s was arrested and following further investigation was released on the condition that he attends a community based rehabilitation scheme.”
