Man jailed after robbery at bookmakers in Whitby
The incident happened last month at Ladbrokes on New Quay Road
A man has been sentenced to three years in jail after a robbery at a bookmakers in Whitby.
It happened at Ladbrokes on New Quay Road just after 4pm on Thursday the 7th of April when it was alleged a man walked in, threatened staff and left with cash.
27-year-old Liam Bulmer, who is from Strauss Road in Redcar, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon and robbery.
He has also been made to pay £190 in fines and costs as well as to forfeit money and the knife.
