Man gets head injury from assault in Scarborough

A man has got a head injury after being assaulted in Scarborough.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about what they are calling a "violent incident."

Officers say the victim, who is in his 50s, does not recall the exact location but was walking from West Park Terrace and the assault probably happened on Falsgrave Road, Victoria Road or North Marine Road.

It happened on Tuesday 16th August between 9pm and 10pm.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, officers are appealing for information from any passers-by or motorists who may have witnessed the incident.
