Man and woman deny reportedly defrauding elderly Bridlington man

A man and woman have appeared in court after reportedly defrauding an elderly man from Bridlington.

Steven Kantecki, 43, and Sarah Kantecki, 38, both of Ramshill Road in Scarborough, were charged with fraud and possession of criminal property.

It's after an elderly Bridlington man was scammed out of more than £180,000 back in September.

The man and woman both pleaded not guilty to fraud and possession of criminal property.

The pair are due to appear back in court next year for trial and are on conditional bail until then.
