A man is running the length of a half marathon today dressed as a lobster to raise money for a Yorkshire Coast charity.

Tony Riley, 65, from Rudston, will run 13.1 mile challenge between Bridlington and Driffield and the finish line will be at the Bosville Arms in the village, which has been taken on as a community pub by local residents.

He is fundraising for Saint Catherine's and has set a target of at least £500.

Tony said:

"It's a fab local charity and I think all charities have struggled a bit during lockdowns and I think they need all the help they can get. It's a fabulous charity, they do a marvellous job and I thought I'd support them.

"The support has been fab and when I've been out and about training, people have been encouraging me and I'm dressing up as a lobster because the lobster and crab industry is local. It should be fun."
