Lionel Richie cancels Scarborough show

He was due to appear at the Open Air Theatre in July.

Lionel Richie's cancelled all his summer tour dates, including at Scarborough's Open Air Theatre..

The singer was due to play the venue on the 3rd of July.

He's apologised to fans, saying he's being cautious due to Covid.

A spokesman for Scarborough Open Air Theatre said:

“We are sorry Lionel Richie is no longer able to come to Scarborough Open Air Theatre this summer. Ticket holders will now be contacted by their point of purchase.

“Rest assured we will be inviting Lionel back to headline the Scarborough OAT stage in the future.”
