17 pairs of free tickets to see the Kaiser Chiefs at Scarborough Open Air Theatre in August are being hidden at Peasholm Park this Sunday (23 May).

It's to celebrate 17 years since the Yorkshire Indie Legends released their debut single.

The treasure hunt for the tickets will last from midday until 4pm.

Scarborough OAT venue programmer Peter Taylor said: "We absolutely love Kaiser Chiefs and Oh My God remains as brilliant and as fresh today as when it was released in 2004.

"We thought it would be great to mark the anniversary of the band’s debut single by holding a special ticket treasure hunt. We will hide 17 pairs of tickets around beautiful Peasholm Park on Sunday. All fans need to do is find them!

"On top of that, within the envelopes containing the tickets, will be details of how fans can get to the front on the night of the show – so get hunting and good luck!"

Initially released as Kaiser Chiefs’ debut single on May 17th, 2004, Oh My God reached number 66 on the UK Singles Chart before being re-released on February 21st, 2005 – two weeks before the release of debut album Employment. This time the song peaked at number six, earning the band their first Top 10 hit.

They're due to play on the Yorkshire Coast on August 8th.
