Humberside Police urges people to report cases of anti-social behaviour
Humberside Police are engaging with young people across the city
Humberside Police are engaging with young people and their families in Bridlington and the East Riding.
It comes as figures show offences for criminal damage and arson in the force area are 5 times higher for the year ending in June 2021 compared to the previous.
Superintendent Matthew Peach is part of the neighbourhood policing team, he said:
“Every community has a neighbourhood team where dedicated PCSOs and police officers are proactively working in that community. They're robustly tackling anti-social behaviour, they're making sure that we do arrests really quickly and we'll be there where you need us.
"A lot of it is silliness where people tend to show off but they've not got the understanding of what the consequences are to their actions. If people have been warned and then they continue to make people's lives a misery against emergency workers they'll be arrested and will be put before the courts.
"If you have any issues all I'd ask is you get in touch with your local police station, either walking in, calling 101, or checking our website. Any concerns that you've got, my teams will work with you and make sure that we reduce the issues in your area."
