Hull and East Yorkshire Mind are reassuring people as more of those who are un-vaccinated could be spending Christmas alone.

It is as cases continue to rise and more people are being asked to self-isolate.

Jack Moore is from Hull and East Yorkshire Mind and he said: "Loneliness and isolation can have a huge impact on our mental health. It's absolutely fine to feel like Christmas is hard for you, try and not to compare your Christmas to other people's and just be kind to yourself.

"If you're finding it hard, talk to somebody, it doesn't have to be a professional, just reach to a friend, a colleague or a family member and just check in to see if they're OK and ask twice just to ensure that they are actually OK.

"For information, advice and support, you can contact Hull and East Yorkshire Mind 24 hours a day over the Christmas period. You can contact us on telephone at 01482 240200, you can email us at info@heymind.org.uk or you can chat to us live via our website."
