Fuel prices have risen for the third month in a row across North Yorkshire.
But a study by the RAC has found petrol and diesel costs are still below pre-pandemic levels, at an average of 114 pence across Yorkshire and the Humber.
Simon Williams from the RAC said:
"What we need is for retailers to play fair with drivers and when wholesale prices fall, to pass on those savings straight away.
"Instead what tends to happen is they save up those wholesale benefits for one headline grabbing cut and in the meantime, drivers tend to lose out.
"At the moment it does seem relatively stable and we won't be shooting back up to the likes of 128p for petrol and 132 for diesel.
We're quite a long way away rfmo the all time petrol UK average high."
