People in Scarborough and Filey are being encouraged to take part in free workouts during lockdown.

The idea has come from the owner Inclusive Fitness in Scarborough, who has come up with two different bootcamps.
Paul Sharp said:
"We run a bootcamp and obviously we had everyone fired up and ready to go in January. Sadly we got the news that we couldn't carry on with our group training so we had to come up with a way to get people to workout on their own. So this is just a way for individuals or pairs at the moment to go out and complete a bootcamp-style workout at their own time and leisure.
"We've got the signage bootcamp which is where we will direct you to a location, you'll read the first sign, complete the warm up, take a selfie just to prove that you've done it, and then you'll follow the links on there to the next signpost, do that workout, go to the last signpost and complete your workout. It normally takes about 50 minutes.
"The other option we have is 'Audio Booty' which is a pre-recorded workout where you plug it into your ear, it'll take you to a location; we've got one at Scarborough Spa and Victoria Avenue Car Park, you start there and it'll talk you through a warm up. It's literally like a personal trainer in your area taking you around the workout."
The sign-posted bootcamp locations:
Scarborough
- The old indoor swimming pool car park near the slipway down to the bottom car park
- Alpamare at the sign behind the disabled parking signage just infront of the building.
Filey
- Coble Landing at the first sign of temporary fencing opposite the toilets.
Audio Booty locations:
- Scarborough Spa
- Victoria Avenue car park near Hollywood Plaza and Peasholm.
