Filey's MP has reacted to being tweeted by Marcus Rashford over the weekend.

Kevin Hollinrake was on the site replying to someone else about the Manchester United footballer's new campaign to extend free school meals to children of all families on Universal Credit.

He posted that it's the responsibilty of families to feed their children - not the government - which led to a telling-off from Marcus.

Kevin said:

"I was very surprised actually. I wasn't responding to Marcus, I was responding to a regular correspondent of mine on Twitter and we agree on some things and disagree on others. So, I just responded to his tweet and Marcus picked it up and responded back to me.

As I said on my follow-up, I'm very happy to have a debate with Marcus about whether we should increase the costs of welfare in this country, but I think it should be a debate rather than necessarily simply a campaign by a footballer."
